This review highlights the recent progress of inorganic nanomaterials in cancer photoimmunotherapy. Phototherapy, immunotherapy and innovative nanomaterials represent three of the novel technological advancement in cancer therapy. The combination of these methods will largely maximize the therapeutic efficacy and minimize the shortcoming of each treatment modality.
