Feasibility and Safety of a Novel Cable-Transmitted Magnetically Controlled Capsule Endoscopy System for Upper Gastrointestinal Examination

In this prospective, self-controlled pilot study, we investigated the feasibility and safety of a novel cable-transmitted magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy (CT-MCE) system for upper gastrointestinal examination. This CT-MCE system employs a flexible cable for the power supply and signal transmission and has the advantages of a small size (4.5 × 25.0 mm), high frame rate (30 frames/s), high resolution (1280 × 720 pixels), and easy removal with no risk of capsule retention.

Implementation of an Improvement Cycle in the Compounding of Antineoplastic Therapy in a University Hospital

The implementation of the improvement project was considered effective as it triggered improvements in AT compounding. Multifaceted interventions can bring about positive changes in the quality of AT compounding and periodic monitoring is required to maintain the level of quality achieved and to perform new interventions when appropriate.

Rethinking Domain-Specific Pretraining by Supervised or Self-Supervised Learning for Chest Radiograph Classification: A Comparative Study Against ImageNet Counterparts in Cold-Start Active Learning

This paper contributes a systematic analysis to examine the effectiveness of domain-specific models against their ImageNet counterparts in cold-start AL, proposes a representation-based uncertainty sampling for AL initialization, and identifies key findings related to AL stages, backbone architectures, and AL paradigms.

Challenges Faced by Older Employees in the Era of Open Artificial Intelligence and Strategies to Empower Them

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) increased efficiency in innovative problem-solving; however, for older employees, keeping pace with the changes brought by the AI revolution is challenging. As AI-driven automation threat job security ——that is, the fear of losing one's job—can be a source of anxiety and uneasiness affecting employees’ mental health. To address these challenges and empower older employees in the era of open AI organizations must implement targeted strategies tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
