Coffee and caffeine consumption and risk of periodontitis: National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2009–2014

Coffee and caffeine consumption and risk of periodontitis: National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2009–2014

On the basis of the population data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), negative correlations between the consumption of coffee or caffeine and the risk of periodontitis are revealed. Simultaneously, little evidence supports a latent association between coffee consumption and periodontitis. Therefore, as far as periodontitis is concerned, we could take into account the beneficial effects of coffee and other beverages containing caffeine.

Association between metabolically healthy obesity and risk of dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Association between metabolically healthy obesity and risk of dementia: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Our research indicates that individuals diagnosed with MHO have a reduced risk of developing both general dementia and AD when compared to those classified as MHNO, with no significant link to AD observed among MUO individuals. These findings suggest that maintaining a healthy metabolism offers benefits in reducing the risk of dementia development.

Research on a data mining algorithm based on BERTopic for medication rules in Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions

Research on a data mining algorithm based on BERTopic for medication rules in Traditional Chinese Medicine prescriptions

Our study utilizes the BERTopic algorithm to extract core prescriptions, subsequently analyzed the correlation between drugs based on their frequency. Firstly, Prescriptions are treated as documents and embedded using the BERT pre-trained model. Following this, UMAP is used for the dimensionality reduction of these embedded prescriptions. These reduced-dimension embeddings are clustered via HDBSCAN. Finally, core drugs are generated as topic words of the document using c-TF-IDF.
