The skin functions as both a protective barrier and an autonomous immune organ, maintaining dynamic interactions with internal organs. This review analyzes skin-organ crosstalk mechanisms, highlighting key cytokines (particularly IL-17A) and microbial metabolites that mediate interorgan communication. The analysis further elucidates these pathways and explores potential applications of organ-on-a-chip technology to advance understanding of systemic diseases and develop targeted therapies for the skin-organ axis.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) revolutionize cancer treatment, but existing databases cannot fully assess ICI efficacy and biomarkers. ImmunoCheckDB, a novel platform, integrates data from 173 studies. It enables pan-cancer meta- and multiomic analyses, guiding precision cancer therapy.

This study analyzed articles from arXiv, bioRxiv, and medRxiv published between 2022 and 2024, using a novel tool for detecting LLM usage. We found that (1) LLMs have been widely adopted since late 2022, and (2) their usage appears to enhance the impact of research papers. Overall, our findings suggest that LLMs may positively associated with scientific communication without altering core research content.

We highlight integration opportunities in healthcare while discussing challenges such as hallucinations, ethical concerns, and text-only modality, offering guidance for future research directions and responsible adoption of reasoning LLMs in medical settings.

Integrating AI in medical education enhances teaching but requires careful oversight. While AI enables personalized materials and up-to-date curricula, collaboration between students and educators is essential to ensure quality and accuracy. Overreliance and academic integrity remain concerns, making honesty and accountability essential in training. Institutions should train educators, promote transparency, and emphasize AI as a complement, not a replacement.
