This longitudinal study presented sexual discrepancies in fat-bone relationship from a life course perspective. Childhood adiposity appears to have a positive long-term effect on adult aBMD, which may be reduced by adiposity in adult men but reinforced by adiposity in adult women.

This retrospective study determined the proportion of primary versus secondary hypertension (HTN) in the pediatric inpatients was 1:2.2. Most children with primary HTN had obesity-related comorbidities. In patients with secondary HTN, renal diseases were the leading causes.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) often leads to cognitive dysfunction, however, the underlying mechanisms of this damage remain unclear. In previous studies, a various of researches have been showed that cognitive dysfunction was associated with OSA-related characteristics and specific neuropathological changes, thus, these findings may provide specific insight into exploring the potential mechanisms.

Three widely used behavioral screeners (PSC-17, PHQ-9, SCARED) are applicable to integrated pediatric care settings. The PSC-17 taps a broad range of problems while the PHQ-9 and SCARED tap depression and anxiety respectively. All three propel early identification and intervention.
