lncRNA ANRIL accelerates wound healing in diabetic foot ulcers via modulating HIF1A/VEGFA signaling through interacting with FUS

LncRNA ANRIL accelerated wound healing in diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) via modulating HIF1A/VEGFA signaling. Mechanistically, ANRIL enhanced HIF1A mRNA stability via recruiting FUS. VEGFA and ANRIL were transcriptionally regulated by HIF1A.

Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor gene variants are related to the risk of breast cancer in a Chinese population

The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs2229642 within the ITPR3 coding region was identified as a variant associated with breast cancer risk in Chinese women, expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) analyses revealed that the rs2229642 C>G variant was linked with decreased expression of ITPR3 and its nearby genes (UQCC2, HLA-DOB, BAK1, and GRM4), and the expression of ITPR3 was correlated with the overall survival of breast cancer patients.

Evaluation of CRISPR/Cas9 exon-skipping vector for choroideremia using human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived RPE

Evaluation of CRISPR/Cas9 exon-skipping vector for choroideremia using human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived RPE

RPE cells derived from hiPSCs with a frameshift mutation in exon 6 of CHM showed reduced phagocytic activity under oxidative stress. The phenotype was partially rescued by exon 6-skipping induced by the CRISPR/Cas9 system.

Combination therapy with chitosan/siRNA nanoplexes targeting PDGF-D and PDGFR-β reveals anticancer effect in breast cancer

The suppression of Platelet derived growth factors (PDGF)-D signaling pathway with small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) targeting both PDGF-D and PDGF receptor (PDGFR)-β is a promising strategy for anticancer therapy. The downregulation of PDGF-D and PDGFR-β with chitosan/siRNA nanoplex formulations reduced proliferation and invasion in breast cancer cells and markedly decreased in tumor volume in the in vivo breast tumor model.

Genome wide analysis of dexamethasone stimulated mineralization in human dental pulp cells by RNA sequencing

Genome wide analysis of dexamethasone stimulated mineralization in human dental pulp cells by RNA sequencing

The underlying mechanisms of dental pulp cells (DPCs) mineralization are still largely unknown. In this study, an in-depth analysis of up- or down-regulated genes during in vitro mineralization of human DPCs was conducted to partially decoding various key genes that might play roles during this process.
