Jianping Guo

Peking University People's Hospital, China

Jianping Guo is a Professor of Medicine at People’s Hospital, Peking University, China. Dr. Guo received her PhD from Department of Medicine, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden in 2009. She then joined Department of Rheumatology and Immunology, People’s Hospital, Peking University. In 2018, Dr. Guo was appointed as Professor at Peking University. Her research interests focus on identification and functional characterization of autoimmune disease regulating gene(s), with special emphasis on genetic variants resided in MHC locus and the genes encoding the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptors (LILRs). Her group has recently demonstrated that the functional LILRA3 associates with multiple autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, primary Sjögren’s syndrome, and rheumatoid arthritis. This work, which has been published in highly regarded journals in the field of rheumatology, suggests that the LILRA3 has potential to drive risk for multiple autoimmune diseases. She has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in the field of inflammation and autoimmunity.
