Cover image: (Top) Endoscopic view of anti-reflux mucosectomy (ARMS) and follow up examination performed after 2–3 months (Retroflex view). Mucosal resection of approximately 2/3–4/5 laps is performed centering on the cardia curvature mucosa. Residual mucosa [1–2 scope diameter (SD)] is retained in the major curvature using SD) as a guide. (Bottom) Endoscopic view of butterfly shape. To avoid transient stenosis, a small amount of mucosa is retained in the lesser curvature in a butterfly-like pattern. (See Sumi et al. p. 349).
