Cardio-oncology Special Issue
Historically the fields of radiation oncology and cardiology have had little in common. However, this special issue explores the multidisciplinary management of both patients with cancer and those with cardiovascular disease, looking into the collaboration of oncologists and cardiologists to provide care beyond what each speciality alone can offer.
Our hope is that this Special Cardio-oncology Issue of JMIRO will lead to closer collaboration between radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, haematologists, cardiologists, and general practitioners with the ultimate goal of improving patients' quality of life and outcomes. Read the Editorial by Dr Shalini Vinod.
Interventional Oncology Special Issue
The special issue of JMIRO brings together some of the foremost authorities in interventional oncology. It outlines the latest developments in this exciting field and summarizes the data that underpin the claim of interventional oncology to be recognized as an indispensable part of modern cancer care. Read the Editorial from the Guest Editors of this Special Issue.
