Description

Solar power generation technologies are important for providing a major share of the clean and renewable energy needed in the future because they are the cost-effective among renewable power generation technologies. Solar power generation becomes sustainable and competitive with fossil-fuel power generation within the next decade.

This special issue on solar power generation welcomes scientists and researchers interested in contributing their original research articles as well as review articles not previously published in the fields of basic and applied research in solar power generation. It aims to present in an interdisciplinary sense the newest trends, breakthroughs, discoveries, solar energy conversion, and environmental aspects. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Concentrating solar power (CSP) generation technologies
  • Solar photovoltaic power generation
  • Recent trends in concentrating photovoltaic (CPV) systems
  • Advances in building integrated photovoltaic systems
  • Energy storages for solar systems
  • Energy policy and management
  • Solar optics
  • Measurement and testing as applied to solar power generation
