Naval Research Logistics (NRL) journal solves operations and analysis problems in business, industry and government. Founded in 1954, we’ve been a leader in our field for decades. While we retain our original interest in naval and military applications, today we’re known for our strong track record publishing the finest operations research across a wide range of topics. We publish papers that make major methodological advances in operations research and management, and welcome submissions that apply modeling and analysis to solve real-world problems in a wide range of sectors and industries.

In Memoriam: Richard E. Barlow
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Richard E. Barlow, a distinguished scholar and a valued member of our academic community. Professor Barlow was a frequent contributor to the journal of Naval Research Logistics Quarterly. His scholarly rigor and unwavering commitment to academic excellence left a lasting mark on our publication and on the broader field. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. He will be greatly missed.
