Front Cover: ExSTA: External Standard Addition Method for Accurate High-Throughput Quantitation in Targeted Proteomics Experiments
- First Published: 09 March 2018

An MRM assay for high-to-moderate abundance human plasma proteins is used to compare classical quantitation approaches with the external NAT-addition method (ExSTA), which uses buffer and labeled and unlabeled internal standards of the surrogate peptides. This artistic interpretation shows how dilution series and replicate measurements in buffer produce the standard curve that is used to determine the target protein concentration in real samples. This is reported by Yassene Mohammed, Jingxi Pan, Suping Zhang, Jun Han, and Christoph H. Borchers in article number 1600180.
