Effectiveness of high-dose transvaginal progesterone supplementation for women who are undergoing a frozen-thawed embryo transfer

High dose transvaginal progesterone of 1200 mg/d as luteal support in FET cycles contributed to favorable pregnancy outcome. Conversely, there was no effects on the newborn infants.

Effects of cyclophosphamide administration on the in vitro fertilization of mice

Numbers of oocytes decreased as the level of CPA administered increased. However, the oocytes potential for fertilization and development to blastocyst stage was not significantly affected.

Association of follicular fluid volume with membrane stretchability of human metaphase II oocytes following the gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist protocol during intracytoplasmic sperm injection

This study investigates the relationship between the follicular fluid (FF) volume aspirated from individual follicles and oocyte retrieval, oocyte maturity, oolemma stretchability, fertilization, and embryonic development following administration of a short gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist protocol. We found that the incidence of low oolemma stretchability was significantly higher in the <1.0 mL group than in the ≥1.0 mL groups. The manuscript describes the study in detail and concludes that FF volume was associated with oolemma stretchability.

Analysis of endometrial microbiota by 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing among infertile patients: a single-center pilot study

We analyzed the endometrial and vaginal microbiome among a Japanese infertile population by sequencing, and found a considerable percentage of non-Lactobacillus dominated microbiota in the endometrium of Japanese infertile women.

Identifying a possible factor for the increased newborn size in singleton pregnancies after assisted reproductive technology using cryopreserved embryos, in comparison with fresh embryos

Identifying a possible factor for the increased newborn size in singleton pregnancies after assisted reproductive technology using cryopreserved embryos, in comparison with fresh embryos

We explored the mechanism of how birth weight of babies born from assisted reproductive technology using frozen-thawed embryos is higher compared with fresh embryos transfer. The data presented here implicate that higher birth weight of babies born using frozen-thawed embryos is not intrinsic to the technology of cryopreservation itself, but is related to how the endometrium is prepared for embryo transfer.
