Transboundary and Emerging Diseases welcomes new Editor-in-Chief, Dr Zongfu Wu

Dr. Zongfu Wu
Professor, College of Veterinary Medicine, Nanjing Agricultural University, China

Dr. Zongfu Wu is the Technical Director of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) Reference Laboratory for Swine Streptococcosis and the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Animal Bacteriology, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, China. He has been a faculty member at College of Veterinary Medicine, Nanjing Agricultural University, since completing his PhD in Preventive Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Wu conducted postdoctoral research at the Institut Pasteur, Paris, France, and was a visiting scholar at Université de Strasbourg, CNRS, France. His research specializes in bacterial pathogenic mechanisms, genomic analysis, molecular epidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, and the development of prevention strategies for bacterial diseases in animals, with a particular emphasis on swine streptococcosis.
