Novel adsorbents based on artificially modified polymers with high capacity and good selectivity have attracted worldwide attention. Hongjuan Ma and colleagues describe the preparation of a tertiary aminetype polymeric fiber adsorbent, PE/PP-g-PDMAEMA (polyethylene-coated polypropylene skin-core structure fiber graft poly(N,N-dimethylamino ethyl methacrylate) by a one-step green method using radiation-induced graft polymerization, and the adsorption behavior of Au(III) under different conditions in both batch and flow-through tests. The study provides an effective method for gold recovery from aqueous solutions. (DOI: 10.1002/app.44955)
