Akane Kubotera and Reiko Saito investigated aqueous dispersions of carbon nanotubes with poly(acrylic acid) and poly(acrylic acid)-block-poly(amide imide) copolymers. The hydrophobic poly(amide imide) attracts the hydrophobic carbon nanotubes, while poly(acrylic acid) repulses the nanotubes. Strong repulsion results from locally concentrated poly(acrylic acid). The cover depicts polymers attached to carbon nanotubes, where the blue lines correspond to poly(amide imide) and the pink lines correspond to poly(acrylic acid). (DOI: 10.1002/app.43461)
