Professor Harald Schneider FLS Professor and Principal Investigator, Xishuangbanna Tropocal Botnaical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Prof Schneider is leading researcher studying the evolution of land plants since the conquering of land by the green branch of the tree-of-life towards the near future. He has been involved in several key-studies that transformed our understanding of the phylogenetic history of land plants and thus the evolution of global ecosystems. In his current research efforts, he emphasise the incorporation of state-of-the-art technological solutions and evolutionary theory to support innovative and inclusive approaches to the global triple crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
