Overview

SmartMat, a flagship open access journal, is launched under the auspices of Wiley and Tianjin University. It aims to address the growing scientific interests in developing intelligent materials that can change significantly in a controlled fashion to external stimuli across the entire spectrum of materials science and engineering. SmartMat is expected to make a mark in the field of materials science with ambitions of a high academic impact.

The scope of SmartMat is intentionally broad that encompasses the multidisciplinary research of physics, chemistry, biology, material science and engineering. It will include the topics such as optoelectronic, biomedical, stimuli-responsive, self-healing and nanomaterials for next-generation sensor, actuator, energy harvesting, wearable device and drug delivery system, etc.

SmartMat invites you to submit original research and review articles. All papers will be published online as soon as they are accepted and will be fully citable.

Readership

Materials scientists, chemists, physicists, environmental and analytical scientists, engineers from academia and industry as well as policy makers.
