Special Issue: Carbon Neutrality of Energy and Steel - Dedicated to the 65th anniversary of North China University of Science and Technology
Submission deadline: December 30th, 2023
Objectives & Scope: Tangshan of China is famous as "steel city". North China University of Science and Technology (NCUST) is a university built on the industrial chain of Hebei Province. Its mission is to provide intellectual support for the low-carbon technology development of the steel and other industries in Hebei province and even the whole country. In order to better fulfill its mission and responsibilities, NCUST established Hebei Iron and Steel Laboratory in 2023, bringing together world-wide scientists towards both cutting edge researches and engineering fields. Continuous progresses have been made in renewable fuel production, low-carbon metallurgical process, electrochemical energy storage, carbon materials, solid waste utilization and other research fields.
To celebrate the establishment of the Hebei Iron and Steel Laboratory and the 65th anniversary of the NCUST in 2023, this special issue will publish the researches from chemical science, materials science and other disciplines in the university to introduce their progresses and insights in carbon neutrality of energy.
Topics. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- carbon neutrality
- renewable fuel production
- electrochemical energy storage
- carbon materials
- solid waste utilization
