Obesity Science & Practice publishes papers of interest to researchers in academic, clinical, governmental and industry roles working to develop, test and refine new medical, behavioral, dietary, pharmalogic and surgical approaches to treat obesity. The journal also publishes papers of interest to professionals engaged in the clinical management of obesity and its related comorbidities as well as individuals actively involved in the prevention of obesity at the local, regional, national and international level.

Manuscript Transfer Program

Obesity Science & Practice is supported by other journals published by World Obesity, The Obesity Society and Wiley. After review in a supporting journal, rejected articles of a suitable quality can be identified by the Editors as candidates for publication in Obesity Science & Practice. Authors will be given the option to transfer their manuscript to Obesity Science & Practice and complete the submission process. The Editor of Obesity Science & Practice will then undertake further evaluation. Importantly, authors will not need to make any changes to their manuscript at this stage. Authors should note that decision letters and referees' comments are transferred to the Editor of Obesity Science & Practice along with the manuscript. The Editor of Obesity Science & Practice will take the previous reviews into account when making their decision, although in some cases the Editor may choose to take advice from additional referees.
