Published on behalf of World Obesity (WO) and The Obesity Society (TOS), Obesity Science & Practice is a peer-reviewed, online-only, open access journal of high quality research related to all aspects of obesity and its comorbidities.

Authors of accepted papers pay an Article Publication Charge and their papers are published under a Creative Commons license. With Creative Commons licenses, the author retains copyright and the public is allowed to reuse the content. Aims and Scope

Obesity Science & Practice is a bi-monthly journal which offers prompt publication of high-quality original research and presents new information in the areas of clinical nutrition medicine, pharmacology, nutrition medicine, genetics, adipogenesis, behavioral epidemiology, biophysics and lipid metabolism, exercise and human physiology, nutritional epidemiology, phenotyping, fat cell physiology, aging, neuroscience, transgenic models, metabolic syndrome, nutrition behavior, pediatric obesity, and adipocyte cell biology.

The journal publishes papers of interest to researchers in academic, clinical, government and industry roles working to develop, test, and refine new medical, behavioral, dietary, pharmacologic and surgical approaches to treat obesity. The journal also publishes papers of interest to professionals engaged in the clinical management of obesity and its related comorbidities as well as individuals actively involved in the prevention of obesity at the local, regional, national and international level.

Acceptance of papers is based on the originality of the observation or investigation, the quality of the work described, the clarity of presentation, and the relevance to our readership. Submission is considered on the conditions that the manuscript (or its essential substance) has not been published other than as an abstract in any language or format and has not been previously or simultaneously submitted elsewhere for print or electronic publication consideration
