Neuropathology and Applied Neurobiology is an international journal for the publication of original papers, both clinical and experimental, on problems and pathological processes in neuropathology and muscle disease. Established in 1974, this reputable and well respected journal is an international journal sponsored by the British Neuropathological Society, one of the world leading societies for Neuropathology, pioneering research and scientific endeavour with a global membership base. Additionally members of the British Neuropathological Society get 50% off the cost of print colour on acceptance of their article. In 2017 the average time from original submission to first decision is 19 days.
Aims and Scope

Neuropathology and Applied Neurobiology is an international journal, sponsored by the British Neuropathological Society, for the publication of original papers and authoritative reviews on the disease mechanisms and the clinical pathology of disorders of brain, nerve and muscle.

It welcomes contributions with a tissue-based focus on all relevant aspects of neurological disease, from experimental neurobiology to pathological diagnosis, regardless of methodology. Multidisciplinary papers are particularly welcomed.

The journal publishes original data papers, authoritative reviews, short reviews and commentaries. Case reports that contain significant novel findings may be published as items of scientific correspondence, and the journal welcomes constructive and interesting letters.

Readership

Its multidisciplinary approach encourages work on all the relevant aspects of neural and muscle tissues in health and disease regardless of the methodology. The readership consists of pathologists, neuropathologists and neurologists with research interest in neurology disease as well as research biologists and biochemists in the same field.
