The International Journal of Applied Linguistics explores how the knowledge of linguistics is connected to the practical reality of language. This leading linguistics journal is interested in how the particular and the general are inter-related and encourage research which is international in the sense that it shows explicitly how local issues of language use or learning exemplify global concerns. We accept only English language articles; however, our focus encourages dialogues from all languages and communication styles, addressing issues from various regions and cultures around the world.
