Drei die zusammenpassen: PbSe-Nanokristalle mit zweierlei Durchmessern (blau und grün) und CdSe-Nanokristalle (rot) bauen einen ternären Kolloidkristall auf (siehe Bild). Einer elektronentomographischen Untersuchung zufolge ist das Übergitter isostrukturell mit dem Atomgitter von AlMgB4.
