Großer Gast – kleiner Wirt: Das Greifen einer molekularen Zange um den Bipyridinium-Kern eines Dendrimers (siehe Bild) wurde fluoreszenzspektroskopisch und elektrochemisch untersucht. Es erwies sich als recht ähnlich den Auffädel-/Abfädelprozessen, die bei Bipyridinium-basierten drahtförmigen Einheiten und ringförmigen Molekülen beobachtet werden.
