Durch Längenvariation der hydrophilen Blöcke in Polystyrol-Diblockcopolymeren aus Polystyrol-b-poly(acrylsäure) (PS-b-PAA) und Polystyrol-b-poly(4-vinylpyridin) (PS-b-P(4-VP)) können Vesikel hergestellt werden (siehe transmissionselektronenmikroskopische Aufnahme), in denen die PAA- und P(4-VP)-Ketten vorzugsweise auf der Vesikelinnenseite und -außenseite segregieren.
