Leicht gemacht:Das gilt für die Synthese eines neuen Carbenborylanions, die in Kooperation von drei Gruppen in Paris und Pittsburgh entwickelt wurde. In ihrer Zuschift auf S. 9352 ff. weisen M. Malacria, D. P. Curran et al. den Weg zu einem Boryl-Anion mit koordiniertem N-heterocyclischen Carben über die reduktive Lithiierung eines Boryliodids. Das borzentrierte Anion lässt sich mit verschiedenartigen Elektrophilen unter Bildung ungewöhnlicher Carbenborane abfangen.
