Ein schönes Paar: Eine Selbstorganisation wurde genutzt, um Strukturinformationen von Aminosäuren in spektroskopische und morphologische Informationen zu übersetzen (siehe Schema). Verschiedene Aminosäuren wurden in situ modifiziert und auf ihre spezifische Aggregation mit einem Cyanin-Farbstoff untersucht. Die Umwandlung der Aminosäuren in Isoindolderivate erhöht die intermolekularen Wechselwirkungen der Aminosäure-Farbstoff-Paare, sodass spontan Nanostrukturen entstehen.
