Die direkte selektive Gasphasenepoxidierung von Propen mit kommerziell tauglichen Umsätzen gelang mit Katalysatoren bestehend aus Gold-Nanopartikeln (3–5 nm) auf einem großporigen (>7 nm), silylierten mesoporösen Titanosilicat-Träger und Ba(NO3)2 als Promotor. Das Bild zeigt einen plausiblen Mechanismus für die synergistische Zusammenarbeit der Au- und Ti-Zentren sowie ein TEM-Bild des Materials.
