CASE REPORT

Acute Nonsustained Mitral Isthmus Block Obtained With Sphere-9 Lattice-Tip Catheter Completed With Vein of Marshall Ethanol Infusion

Summary

  • Despite the promising results of pulsed field ablation in achieving linear lesions beyond pulmonary vein isolation, the durability of those lesions and the acute reconnections should be further investigated.

  • Eliminating the vein of Marshall might still be necessary in selected cases to achieve posterior mitral isthmus bidirectional block.

  • High-resolution electroanatomical mapping to identify potential gaps in the linear lesions continues to be vital when using the pulsed field ablation technique.
