E. Steve Roach, MD

E. Steve Roach, MD, is Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas in Austin, Texas, where he serves as the Associate Chair for Operations of the Department of Neurology and Co-Chief of the new UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s. Dr. Roach has extensive experience as a medical editor, having served as the editor-in-chief of Pediatric Neurology for nine years and as an associate editor of JAMA Neurology for 15 years. He has written or edited 10 textbooks, including Pediatric Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disorders, now in its third edition. Additionally, he has written over 250 articles, reviews, chapters, commentaries, and editorials. Roach served as President of the Child Neurology Society and was awarded the 2015 Hower Award, the society’s highest honor.
