Article Publication Charges

All articles accepted and published in Annals of the Child Neurology Society are fully Open Access: immediately freely available to read, download and share. 

Submissions will be subject to an APC if accepted and published in the journal:

Research Article/Topical Review: $3,000 USD £2,300 GBP € 2,550 EUR
Brief Report: $2,000 USD / £1,533 GBP / €1,700 EUR
Commentary: $1,500 USD / £1,150 GBP / €1,275 EUR
Clinical Letter/Research Letter: $1,000 USD / £767 GBP / €850 EUR
Visual Diagnosis: $750 USD / £650 GBP / €550 EUR

Correspondence (Letters to the Editor) and Replies: Waived
Obituary: Waived

Child Neurology Society (CNS) members in good standing will receive a 20% discount off Research Articles and Topical Reviews: $2,400 USD / £1,840 GBP / €2,040 EUR

These member discounts are not available for shorter article formats. The CNS will also pay the publication fees for a limited number of articles whose first author is a junior CNS member in good standing. Please check with the editorial office for funding availability. The society also funds articles arising from its named award presentations.

Automatic APC waivers or discounts will be given to Corresponding Authors from institutions in countries and locations on the Waivers and Discounts List. There is no action for authors.

If the Corresponding Author's institution, funder, or society has a Wiley Open Access Account (WOAA), all or part of the APC might be covered. Eligibility is based on the article's submission date and the organization having an active account/partnership arrangement when the article is ready to be published.

The journal does not charge any submission fees or page charges.

Taxes on Publication Charges

The prices quoted do not include any value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or other sales taxes. Tax may be charged in addition to the price shown where required by law. The amount of tax charged will be calculated at the point of sale and identified separately.

If you have a VAT, GST, or other sales tax identification number, you should provide this when requested.

If you or the party responsible for payment are tax exempt, instructions will be provided during the payment process regarding where and when to send the tax exemption certificate or other relevant documentation.

Open Access Licensing and Copyright

Annals of the Child Neurology Society is an Open Access journal: authors of accepted articles pay an article publication charge, and their articles are published under a Creative Commons license.

Authors with a funder mandate must use the CC BY Creative Commons License; all other authors must use the CC BY-NC-ND Creative Commons License.
