Manuscript Transfer Program
Laryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology (LIO) is supported by a manuscript transfer program from The Laryngoscope, Clinical Otolaryngology, Head & Neck, and International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology. After review bythese journals, articles of a suitable quality may be identified by the Editors as candidates for publication in LIO. Authors will be given the option to transfer their manuscript and complete the submission process with LIO with complete instructions to assist you through the process.
Once transferred, the Editors of LIO will undertake further evaluation of author submissions. Decision letters and referees' comments are transferred to the Editors of LIO, along with the manuscript, who will then take the previous reviews into account when making their decision. Authors do not need to make any revisions suggested in reviews from the transferring journal, but you are encouraged to do so..In some cases the Editor(s) may choose to seek additional referees. If you have been directed to this website because your article has been referred by another journal and recommended as a strong candidate for publication in LIO , please review the information on this website to help you reach a decision about transferring.
