Society Information

The National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) works to advance the role of genetic counselors in health care and ensure the availability of quality genetic services. As the leading authority for the genetic counseling profession, NSGC maintains a far-reaching network of researchers, practitioners, administrators, advocates, and policy makers concerned with understanding the medical and psychological implications of inherited conditions. NSGC also provides a variety of comprehensive and culturally inclusive resources for prospective patients, including a directory of over 3,300 genetic counselors practicing in the US and Canada.
