Society Information

The Policy Studies Organization (PSO) is a publisher of academic journals and book series, sponsor of conferences, and producer of programs. It seeks to disseminate scholarship and information to serve those making and evaluating policy. It was founded as an outgrowth of the American Political Science Association, for those in a variety of fields who were interested in how public policy and organizational policy were being studied and discussed. The Policy Studies Organization is in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations since 2023.

Science, Technology, and Environmental Politics Organized Section of the American Political Science Association:

The purpose of STEP is to promote research and teaching on the political dimensions of issues in science, technology and environmental policy. Activities sponsored by STEP include panels at the annual meetings of APSA, a newsletter and syllabi available through this website, and annual awards for outstanding scholarly works in this area of study.
