New Article Type: Synthetic Procedures

With the beginning of 2023, we provide a new Article Type for papers describing preparative work of high relevance, for example from the Industrial Chemistry in the form of ‘Synthetic Procedures’.

We are looking for submissions from academic and industrial research describing robust protocols, progress in up-scaling, safety aspects or other improvements of procedures for the synthesis of chemicals of high relevance for academia or industry. The described reactions should be reliable and scalable. Safety aspects, and or environmental/economical improvements such as new solvents, new workup or isolation procedures are very important aspects for this new article type and must be described and explained in detail. In addition, each procedure should be accompanied by an introduction on the background and the relevance of the developed process.

The first Synthetic Procedure has just been accepted and will be included in the January Issue of 2023; read here the announcement of the Swiss Chemical Society

100th Anniversary of Helvetica Chimica Acta in 2017

new relaunched cover

Dear Colleagues

The year 2016 has nearly come to a close, holidays are on the way, and the new Helvetica is now fully in operation. Have a look at the published contributions in the 100th Anniversary Special Collection.

We are ready to host your contribution to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Helvetica Chimica Acta in 2017. Helvetica wants to be a premiere journal for the frontier in molecular chemistry from all fields across Switzerland and the globe.

We are sure 2016 has brought you new and exciting chemistry in the labs; Helvetica wants to help you publishing your innovative research. At a time of journals with too many pages, Helvetica – with its selected, high quality papers – is a perfect venue to showcase the Science being done in Switzerland and beyond.

We invite you to submit your manuscripts across all fields of chemistry to this very special 100th anniversary event, celebrating chemistry and the frontier of chemical sciences (biology, physics, material and engineering sciences).

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Helvetica, a virtual issue will be crafted, where the most prominent manuscripts will be collected and assemble into a hard copy issue.

Season’s greetings to all! We look forward for your contribution to Helvetica on the occasion of its relaunch and its 100th anniversary.
