Author Guidelines

EDITORIAL PROCEDURE

A submitted manuscript first goes through a substantive intra-departmental initial review which usually takes 2-3 weeks. If it passes the review, it will be sent to a referee or referees who will be given 6 weeks to provide a report. If the report is positive, the editors will take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks to make the final decision.

RULES FOR THE SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS:

  1. Original manuscripts of high quality from all areas of philosophy will be considered. They must not be submitted simultaneously elsewhere.
  2. To submit a paper, please register and login to PPQ’s editorial management system at https://www.ppqsubmissions.com/. The manuscript should include a brief abstract (approx. 150 words). It should be prepared for blind review and should include a word count and bibliography.
  3. Authors will receive e-mail confirmation of receipt for new submissions. This e-mail will include a manuscript number, which should be included in the subject line of all correspondence regarding the submission.

Formatting/Style Guidelines
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the author will receive a copy of the journal's preferred style and formatting guidelines. It is the author's responsibility to provide a version of the manuscript that conforms to these guidelines.

Author Name Change Policy

In cases where authors wish to change their name following publication, Wiley will update and republish the paper and redeliver the updated metadata to indexing services. Our editorial and production teams will use discretion in recognizing that name changes may be of a sensitive and private nature for various reasons including (but not limited to) alignment with gender identity, or as a result of marriage, divorce, or religious conversion. Accordingly, to protect the author’s privacy, we will not publish a correction notice to the paper, and we will not notify co-authors of the change. Authors should contact the journal’s Editorial Office with their name change request.

Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the author will receive an Exclusive License Form via e-mail.
