Review Articles

Review Articles provide a state-of-the-art overview of the literature and valuable summaries of key areas of work for both teaching and research purposes. These reviews may summarize and critique an established area of work; identify and develop the direction of an emerging area of research; or apply existing sociological theory and research to the analysis of an issue that is generating widespread public debate. Review articles should evaluate the progress of research in clarifying a sociological problem and recommend potential fruitful avenues for further empirical, methodological, and/ or theoretical work. Normal criteria of quality, word length and style will be applied as for reviewing any submission.
