Clinical Practice Guidelines from Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine

These guideline articles result from the impressive work of the Clinical Practice Committee of the Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (SSAI). We hope they will be useful for anaesthesiologist all over the World and they are made freely available for everyone. The papers are evidence-based articles with recommendations for management of several important aspects of our specialty based on the contributions from the different Scandinavian working groups. The group members have conducted thorough literature searches and carefully evaluated the level of evidence. They have admitted that the available evidence does not always allow firm recommendations and the cautious suggestions in these situations could hopefully create interest in new scientific studies.
