Clinical and Translational Allergy is a pioneering initiative to make high quality peer-reviewed research and reviews on allergy and related subjects available to clinicians, scientists, and the public in an open access format. Advances in allergy and immunology are being made in the clinic and in the laboratory at a rapid rate. CLT2 provides the platform for rapid dissemination of these findings to a wide audience to provide the greatest impact and benefit to society.
CLT2 is an open access journal, enabling free access to all content ensuring a wide dissemination of articles; the electronic format and expert peer review allows for very rapid publication.

Prof. Dr. Med. Oliver Pfaar
We are delighted to announce that Oliver Pfaar has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of CLT2. As an international key-opinion leader in allergology, rhinology, and clinical immunology he heads the Section of Rhinology and Allergy of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Philipps University Marburg, Germany. He is Vice-President of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). His work manly focuses on allergen immunotherapy (AIT), respiratory allergies, and biologic treatments for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). He is actively involved in clinical research and international guideline development (h-index 73, SCOPUS June 2025)

Prof. María M Escribese, PhD
Dr. Escribese is Vice Dean of Research and Director of the Institute of Molecular Applied Medicine at the School of Medicine in San Pablo CEU University. She has been Principal investigator of several translational research projects and is a leading member of the National Network of inflammatory Diseases.
Currently Dr. Escribese is a member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology as Member at large and of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment, CoARA.
Her research interest is focus in the use of system biology to identify novel biomarkers for allergic patients stratification. Her contributions to science and education have earned her prestigious honors, including the 2022 EAACI PhARF Award and the Ángel Herrera Award for Research Excellence.
