The iron low-spin component, computed from IAD of XES spectra (Vankó et al., 2006BB59) of ferropericlase as a function of pressure, compared with the literature data (Lin et al., 2005BB37; Kantor et al., 2006BB30; Wentzcovitch et al., 2009BB61; Holmström & Stixrude, 2015BB27). Data taken at ambient temperature (blue circles) and laser heated (colored circles, see color bar and labels for temperature). The solid blue line represents the overall trend in our data. The iron content xFe of ferropericlase in the literature is indicated in the legend.
