The clinical use of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) continuous to expand with the development of innovative imaging techniques. The role of CMR in clinical practice includes the diagnosis and evaluation of congenital heart disease, myocarditis, pericardial syndromes, the evaluation of valvular heart disease, and chronic coronary artery syndromes. Furthermore, CMR has a unique role in the evaluation of myocardial fibrosis and the risk stratification of sudden cardiac death in specific clinical conditions.

The purpose of this Special Issue is to discuss the diagnostic and prognostic role of CMR in ischemic and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. Original research and review articles are welcome.
