On behalf of the ESDAR Board, we would like to invite you to join the 24th Annual Conference of ESDAR from October 11–16, 2021, organized as an online conference. The Annual ESDAR conference has been organized by many European countries since 1997, but this is the first time the conference is held online due to the COVID restrictions in Europe. It is our pleasure to inform you about the organization of this first online ECAR–ESDAR week, which will start with the contribution of the ECAR on Monday, October 11, in the afternoon. Every evening in this week, we will have a scientific session of approximately 2 hr including a session on Saturday morning. The Board furthermore decided that participation in each of these sessions will be for free for everyone, both ESDAR members and non-members. The scientific conference programme includes five plenary lectures by distinguished researchers, eight workshops which cover several species and a variety of interesting topics. From the submitted abstracts, 10 have been selected for the young scientists’ competition, 15 have been selected for oral communications, and 249 are presented as posters (10 of them as student posters). Enjoy the 24th Annual Conference of ESDAR online—it gives you the opportunity to listen to interesting speeches covering a broad spectrum of areas and, at least, meeting colleagues virtually—all for free. We are, furthermore, looking forward to our next ESDAR conference in 2022 and hope to meet you all in person in Thessaloniki.
