Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) is increasingly being used in medical applications as it has a strong safety profile, is not nephrotoxic, and does not require radiation. This Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine virtual issue contains a selection of articles that cover common and new applications of CEUS. We hope that the material in this virtual issue stimulates new ideas in the use of CEUS.
