Sequence analysis of the novel allele HLA-B*070502†

The novel allele HLAB*070502 differs from HLA-B*070501 by a synonymous nucleotide exchange at position 128 in exon 2 (G→C).

The name B*070502 was officially assigned by the WHO Nomenclature Committee in July 2005. This follows the agreed policy that subject to the conditions stated in the most recent Nomenclature Report ( 4), names will be assigned to new sequences as they are identified. Lists of such new names will be published in the following WHO Nomenclature Report.
