Abstract
The title compound, [Zn2(C7H5O2)4(C10H14N2O)2], has a centrosymmetric dimeric molecule with four symmetrical benzoate bridges and two axial nitrogen-base ligands. The Zn⋯Zn separation of 2.8860 (4) Å does not represent a formal direct metal–metal bond. Coordination of zinc is square pyramidal.
