A novel sulfon­amide containing a boronate ester group

A novel sulfon­amide containing a boronate ester group, name­ly N-[3-(4,4,5,5-tetra­methyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)­phenyl]-N-(2,4,6-tri­methyl­benzyl)-p-toluene­sulfon­amide,C₂₉H₃₆BNO₄S, crystallizes with two independent mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit. The Lewis-acid B atom is in a trigonal–planar environment and is not involved in inter- or secondary intramolecular interactions.
