Abstract

Abstract:  Lung disease, caused by perinatally acquired cytomegalovirus (CMV), is usually described as pneumonitis or interstitial pneumonia. A 30-week-old gestation infant developed CMV infection and multicystic lung disease that resolved spontaneously. The differential diagnosis of lung cysts in the newborn should include CMV infection.
