This entry discusses recent work at the intersection of urban and environmental anthropology, focusing on analyses of urban nature and environmental justice. Anthropological research on urban ecology has explored the material and discursive politics of socionatural processes in urban contexts and emphasized the emplaced and embodied character of ecological epistemologies.
