Abstract

The communication of information is essential for any discipline. Scholars and practitioners cannot work in isolation; a free flow of ideas is vitally important to the practice of a profession or discipline. Electrical engineering and electronics are no exception.

This article will concentrate on how information is transmitted through the formal media in electrical engineering, and allied subjects, and how such information is retrieved. Both print and electronic media will be considered.
